Soma Cubes
The Soma Cube Puzzle
The Soma Cube was invented in 1936 by the Danish philosopher, mathematician, inventor
and poet Piet Hein. He visualised the complete set of irregular shapes which can be
formed from a maximum of four cubes. An irregular shape is one which is not a cuboid.
Hein then realised that these seven irregular shapes can be put together to form a solid 3x3x3 cube.
The puzzle is to find how the cube can be formed.
